Here's the sketch on hot press, illustration board. I believe one should always sketch each section with the colors that they intend to paint with. Hence, your paint should go over the colored pencil marks without them showing underneath.
If you can avoid it, try not to use regular pencil or charcoal for anything on your sketch. It smudges, making it very difficult to keep your board clean. I made the mistake of sketching the guy's teeth (middle left) in pencil, and I was most troubled by it later!
I will be using "Golden Acrylics." It is THE BEST acrylic paint in the United States!
