Step 1

1) You see that I've completed my sketch. Typically I do this with Prismacolor Verithin Pencils (*take note that if I were drawing this piece completely, meaning NO PAINT, I would have used the regular Prismacolors. The Verithins are a very hard lead. Therefore, they are mostly suitable for sketching out my creatures-not colouring them in.

2) The background is done with an Opaque Deep Red from the Medea Com Art brand, and the black blended on top of it is an India Ink made by Winsor Newton. The rest of the piece, however, will be completed with Golden Acrylics (except for his hair, eyebrows, and some of the jewels on his horns-I'll explain that when the time comes).
